Imagine a world . . .
THE NATURE OF US
Imagine a world in which the good and the beautiful reign. A world in which we make our decisions from the heart, and deeply revere the earth and care for each other.
Where children are nurtured and protected, loved, and educated to love themselves, in which they are encouraged to follow their innate knowing and talent, their interests and passions. Where birthing practices are re-imagined to be fully compassionate, and our precious babies are not pumped full of chemicals.
Where everyone has enough good quality food and no one goes hungry.
Where the health of each individual is paramount, where each person knows how to access their self healing abilities, and chemicals and additives added to foods for profit are a thing of the past.
Where animals are deeply respected, honored, and never killed for sport. And the trees are revered for the wisdom they hold, are not clear cut, and only used when absolutely necessary.
Where each country is respected and sovereign, caretakers of their own mineral rights, waters, and skies.
Where each person works at what they love and contributes to the community.
Where self government truly works, each of us has a voice, and there are actual democratic processes in place.
Where all wars have ceased, and there is no aggression from one country to another.
Where weapons manufacturers and defense contractors no longer exist, and the entire military industrial complex is a thing of the past.
Where AI is only used for the good, data collection on citizens ends, and all lighting, in computers and phones as well, would be full spectrum. No decision would be made without adequate health impact studies.
Where would the money come from to create such a world?
The money spent on wars would be re-directed to create beautiful and fertile lands that fed everyone. Billionaires would discover their open hearts and give that money to create homes for everyone, and jobs to repair the earth, her waterways and lakes.
All leaders would be elected democratically with no corporate sponsors or lobbying. Eight year term limits would be the maximum, and there would be no need to spend money on campaigning. Perhaps there would be long form interviews with each candidate so their views were clear. Votes would be counted by hand.
Leaders would no longer profit from insider knowledge and build huge portfolios, and lobbyists would no longer line their pockets.
Sonar and other practices that hurt sea life would cease to exist. Wind farms that kill birds would also be eliminated. With all the defense money redirected, new solutions for energy would be created.
Imagine a world where water is precious and care taken never to pollute her pristine beauty. Where billionaire yachts and giant cruise ships are no longer on the seas.
Where geo-engineering to change the weather patterns has been eliminated, capturing rain water is built in to homes and communities, and the excess from overflowing dams and rivers is contained as well.
Where the impact of drilling into the earth is deeply considered, and mining the precious interior of the earth is reconsidered.
We are coming to the place in which creating such a world is essential. It is a time to say enough to the excesses, the fentanyl and meth made readily available, the pedophilia and other horrors. To say no more to intelligence agencies that profit from their own ulterior motives to run drugs throughout the world and topple governments.
This beautiful world will require a change in each of us, really looking into our own hearts and what we value, and beginning to explore what true empathy for one another requires. And to live aligned in harmony with nature, learning from her wisdom and rhythms.
It will be a new earth that we each imagine from the desire of our own hearts, and for the future of our children. We will change, the earth will change, and we will discover what is possible when we live in joy and beauty and compassion.
This is a time of letting go of the old ways, our grievances, our fears of not being enough or not loved, whatever we are holding on to that keeps us separate. It is a time to come together and see clearly the inequities in our world. I began writing this on Earth Day - and my hope is that we begin to honor the earth every day, to live in harmony with nature, and include her in every decision we make. Truly she is our mother and deserves better stewardship.
You may say I’m a dreamer but I’m not the only one. I think we will still have possessions and countries, it will look very different than John Lennon imagined or even I can imagine. I began writing this inspired by Earth Day - and my hope is that we begin to honor the earth and the wisdom of our hearts everyday.
